Accompanied by an English-speaking tour guide

PrivateTaxi is doing a service in which National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter an English interpreter and sightseeing guide, accompanies passengers to famous and historic places in Japan.

We will help a variety of people to know about seasonal Tokyo, traditional culture unique to Japan, famous places, historic sites, and historical sites, and also to have a good memory.

National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter will accompany every 2 to 4 persons, so unlike a sightseeing tour with many people, this tour will be a rich and fulfilling sightseeing tour in Japan.

We also encourage you to take advantage of this service when attending international conferences and symposiums in Japan, as you will be able to spend a comfortable time in unfamiliar Japan without any inconvenience.

The National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter who will be accompanying you is a very experienced interpreter and guide with a strong background in history and has worked as an interpreter for foreign dignitaries, so you can enjoy Japan with peace of mind.

What is a National Licensed Guide Interpreter?

National Licensed Guide Interpreters are described in the Licensed Guide Interpreters Act as "those who receive compensation, and provide interpreted guidance (the act of accompanying foreign nationals and providing travel-related guidance in a foreign language)". National Licensed Guide Interpreters are those who has passed the national exam, have advanced foreign language skills, high-level knowledge related to tourism such as history, geography and culture throughout Japan, and who are registered by the prefecture.

Enjoy Tokyo's uniqueness

Akihabara

Today, it has become a center of status for young people, and is one of the world's leading electronics districts, bustling with shoppers year-round, including those who come to shop from overseas.

The area is lined with a variety of stores, from parts stores selling even the smallest electronic parts to maid cafes and manga and anime stores, and you will never get tired of just looking at them.

We highly recommend this town to those who love manga and anime.

Harajuku, Omotesando, Shibuya

The central town for young people, this is the area for shopping and fashion. It is also the center of fashion in Japan (the originator of fashion), and is a town that should be seen at least once as various new cultures continue to emerge.

As you can tell from the name of the area, Omotesando, there is also the majestic and serene Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park right next door, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing in Tokyo.

Asakusa

Senso-ji Temple, founded in 628 A.D., is the center of the area, with Kaminarimon and Nakamise in the center. Nearby is the Kappabashi Tool Street, with more than 170 stores selling cutlery, cooking and kitchen utensils.
The view from the Tokyo Sky Tree observation deck (observation corridor 450 meters above ground) across the Sumida River is recommended.

Why not experience the human touch in Asakusa, where the Japanese sentiment and downtown culture are alive and well?

Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi area

The Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi neighborhoods are full of history and emotion, and have a good old Tokyo atmosphere with Japanese houses, alleys, wells, and other downtown features.

How about a temple tour in the Yanaka area, where temples are densely located? The Yanaka Shichifukujin pilgrimage, said to be the oldest of the seven gods of good fortune in Edo, is also recommended.

At Nezu Shrine, you can admire 3,000 azalea plants of 100 varieties during the "Azalea Festival" held every April.

Enjoy the sights that are just a short distance from Tokyo

Yokohama - Chinatown

Yokohama is the second largest city in the Kanto region, and has flourished as a port city adjacent to Tokyo.

For those who enjoy food, we recommend visiting Chinatown, with its variety of restaurants, ranging from popular home-style restaurants to upscale stores, and the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum, where famous ramen stores from all over the country are located.
